How I’ll Capture Your Wedding Day (So You Can Relax and Enjoy It!)

With over 15 years’ experience of wedding photography in Essex I have learnt just how I can help the day flow for my couples by some in advance preparation. Here are some of the ways I will photograph your wedding day so you can relax and enjoy it: 1)    A pre Big Day shootMy main aim for my wedding photography clients is to be able to capture you at your happy and relaxed best version of yourselves in your photos. To this aim I do a pre shoot for my wedding couples so you know how I work and are not concerned on the big day itself as you already know I can capture a great image of you. I work a lot with natural light and good angles so you will find me ...

How I’ll Capture Your Wedding Day (So You Can Relax and Enjoy It!)

Headshots for your social media profiles - do you need them? Looking online I came across this sentence which I think sums it up perfectly – ‘In a matter of seconds, your profile image provides an instant impression of who you are and what you’re all about without saying a word.' In a conversation with a marketing colleague recently she told me that the length of time spent on a profile without a photo was usually measured in seconds compared to minutes for those with a recognizable image of the profile owner and I understand that this is reflected with lots of research online. As a photographer I am a very visual person and with all the forms of ...

How I’ll Capture Your Wedding Day (So You Can Relax and Enjoy It!)

Learning how to use your camera off auto will really step up your photography game.As a Photographer, I know my way around a camera - what all of the buttons do, what each of the functions mean, and how to change the settings to get the best results out of each and every shot. However, I appreciate that not everyone has that knowledge. For some people, learning how to take their camera of auto and switch to manual settings is an important step in ensuring they can take great photographs. That's why I also offer Photography training. I am always happy to host an in-person or virtual photography training session to help you improve your photography knowledge and skills.Learning how to use your ...

How I’ll Capture Your Wedding Day (So You Can Relax and Enjoy It!)

A few weeks ago I was asked to shoot some promotional material for a great couple who run Mustard Seed - Katherine & Peter. This meant I got to go and spend time with them at home and to see them in action cooking and creating. Walking into their home is a pleasure - there is a very welcoming atmosphere and an anticipation of what you will get to taste! As well as learning the whole process is fun and excites you about food and all its possibilities. The class I photographed below was adults making pasta, however there are lots of classes including ones for you and your children. I had been to one of these previously - sausage making with your child.  It was a lot of fun however I ...

How I’ll Capture Your Wedding Day (So You Can Relax and Enjoy It!)

I first met Liz & Rich at a wedding fair at The Mulberry House. Newly engaged they were very excited and so happy!  We had a good chat and look at my work and I was very pleased to hear from them next day asking to book me as their photographer. Their wedding venue was the gorgeous Leez Priory and both of them were very up for having a laugh and had some ideas of their own from research they had done on images.  It's always great to try new things and one that was completely new to me was the couple meeting pre the service - the groom blindfolded so he could not see his bride!  No talking allowed just a holding of hands. With the help of the bridesmaids and the best ...
